Corporate Event Throw Down – A Challenge For Event Planners

Beyond the tragic boredom of the boardroom, a corporate event throw down challenges event planners to stage an effective tribe building program for corporate events. Why wouldn’t you want to challenge sales teams to solve self-created problems and move past the ominous team politics to empower your tribe to become better sales reps for your corporation?

The Challenge – Guiding Your Teams to Success!

Start off by scheduling a classic corporate training event weekend with a show band or dance band set up on stage for the usual Saturday night entertainment. Then, create a showcase training event for the morning hours.

Platform based training can manage teams, create problem solvers, and build highly effective and interactive sales groups. In these times of extreme throw downs, physical challenges, and cooking competitions, the concept of sales team throw downs might bring to mind a variety of possible events. But first the training.

Showcase Speed Training Programs with Role Play.

Set up the room with tables for two, just right for role-playing. Then pick sides. Number off 1/2 and send the 2’s to the left, 1’s to the right. Select a team captain to do the training for each team.

Team 1 trains for sales pitch first.

Team 2 trains for devil’s advocate – the customer.

The objective for group two is to find every possible argument against purchasing the product, so group one has to come up with arguments to buy. Set a timer for 5 minutes and at the end of five minutes Team mates on Team 2 write a Y or N as score for the Team 1 Sales Rep, and the mates switch to the next table. After a round robin of each sales rep meeting with each buyer, switch roles. Team 2 becomes Sales Reps. Team 1 become Buyers. Run the timed sessions for Speed Sales again through the whole team.

Round up Y and N votes from all team players on each team and Tally. Best sales team wins the first round of the challenge.

Afternoon Sales Training Event

Groups of five sales reps creating a powerful sales pitch, written, and ready for the tele-marketers to use prior to sending in the sales team. These power-filled pitches can be read throughout the dinner hour to motivate and challenge team players to capitalize on their team communications skills. Overall these problem solving programs will be used by all the teams after being typed up and run past legal on Monday morning, to be sure your products are well represented.

Evening Dance Competition Team Builder

And, everybody dance! The challenge for the night includes spouses of team players who were invited to join the competition. The last couple dancing at the end of the night gets the price.
