Finding a way to get high page rank on Google is difficult at best. It usually takes on page and off page SEO techniques like keyword placement, techy stuff like H1 and H2 tags and other things. Often, you have to hire an SEO company to get page rank.
An interesting change has occurred in Google. They have realized that Social Networking sites are popular. In fact, some Social Networks get more visits per month than Google. As a result of this the Big G has been giving pages on these sites high “organic” page placement.
Eye tracking tests by Google and others show that people look at and click on links to sites that get high placement a lot more than ads do.
One Social Network that G loves is Hubpages.
Hubpages is a Social Network where people come to write articles about virtually anything that is moral and legal. They can be about Internet Marketing or cats or dogs or cars or planes or boats or dating — you name it. As long as it is good content, you can put it on Hubpages and there is a really good chance that people will come and read it.
Something else really neat about hub pages is they let you — in fact they encourage you — to monetize your pages. That means you can make money with Google AdWords or eBay or Amazon. In reality with a little skill, you can monetize your pages in many ways i.e. Clickbank or Commission Junction among a few. They even pay you for sharing some of the ads they put on your pages. How cool is that?
On top of all of that, you can have links back to your sites and drive traffic to them. And, you can have RSS feeds too. Talk about a Swiss Army Knife …
You need to study Hubpages a little before you make a Hubpage. My first page I submitted was rejected because I had more of an introduction than a content page. I corrected that and they let me publish it. You also need to socialize with others and build a loyal following or your pages will drop in ranking on Hubpages (and Google) and you will get less traffic and less money. But that is just common sense. Its easily overlooked and forgotten though.
I haven’t studied yet how MSN and Yahoo! rank pages on Hubpages but if they aren’t giving them high ranking on their search engines they will because Social Networks are what is pulling the bulk of the traffic. That is why the term Web 2.0 has come about. It is the new usage of the Internet and how people communicate with each other.
If you want to get your web pages highly ranked, make money doing it, meet new friends, and have fun doing it, you should check out and start using hub pages.
